The Silicon Valley Marathon is also known as the Dean Karnazes Silicon Valley Marathon. There is also a half marathon and 5K walk/run and children's events.

Silicon Valley Marathon Route
The race is fast, a 100% paved route providing a good PB opportunity.

The course starts on Almaden Blvd. near Park Ave in downtown San Jose. It then makes its way through the centre of Willow Glen and into the Los Gatos Creek Trail where runners will appreciate the breathtaking scenery on the journey to the beautiful Vasona Lake Park.

The route continues along the Creek Trail over the Old Town Bridge into Los Gatos and back to the Creek Trail. Runners then retrace their steps, heading towards downtown San Jose and finish line is the lawn of Discovery Meadow.
