The Atlanta Marathon, originally the Thanksgiving Day Atlanta Marathon, is one of the oldest marathons in the USA, run on the 1996 Olympic course.

Atlanta Marathon Route
The marathon is a road race following a loop course starting from Turner Stadium. Runners head out of town to the halfway point where runners turn and are directed back towards the finish line passing under the Olympics rings just before they finish.

* Entry Fee : $85 (until June 30), $95 (until Sep 30), $115 (until Oct 24)
* Registration Deadline : October 24
* Charity Places : Runners are advised to contact their chosen charity
* Cut-off Time : Runners will be expected to finish within 5:00 hours.
