The Bakersfield Marathon is a favorite race for many runners aiming for Boston qualification. Described as a 'Race for everyone' it is part of a day of races, also including a half marathon, 10K and 6K race.

Bakersfield Marathon Route
Starting and finishing at the Kern County Museum, runners follow a one lap course boasting great scenery and passing many local landmarks. The route heads through downtown Bakersfield and along the banks of the Kern River, before reaching to the finish line back at the local museum.
