The Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon takes place on the site of the Battle of Chickamauga - a victory for the Confederacy. There is also a half marathon option.

Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon Route
The race takes in two loops of the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park, starting and finishing at the 6th Cavalry museum.

The route is a double-loop of a mainly paved path with some tough sections. However it is not overly difficult and there is every chance some runners will qualify for the Boston Marathon.
