The Cleveland Marathon is one of America's 50 oldest marathons. Other races on the same day include a half marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids' Run.

Cleveland Marathon Route
The route is flat and fast with minimal elevation.

The race starts from Ontario Street. From there, runners head north through downtown Cleveland. They then pass the FirstEnergy Stadium before turning south, crossing the River Cuyahoga. From there they turn westward, going through Ohio City, Detroit Shoreway and Edgewater before reaching the lakeside at mile 14. The lakeside route continues for 3 more miles, turning after mile 17. The last 9 miles follow the lake back into downtown, finishing close to the start line at the Convention Center.
