The Country Music Marathon, sometimes known as the Nashville Marathon, is one of the
Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series races. There is also the option to run the Country Music Half Marathon.
Country Music Marathon Route
The race is undulating. There are some slightly hilly sections near the start after which the route is predominantly flat.
The race starts at Nashville's Centennial Park. Runners are treated to a more scenic route that takes runners down Broadway
past the honky tonks, past the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and back up Demonbreun before passing the
Country Music Hall of Fame and Cummins Station. The race then begins to thin-out as half marathon runners split off at Gay Street
and move towards the half-way point at Rosa L. Parks Blvd.
Runners are directed in the direction the Cumberland River along the riverfront and back along Rosa L. Parks Blvd to
downtown Nashville. Passing close to LP Field they cross the river, pass along 5th Street and Davidson Street
take a short loop through Shelby Park before being sent back westwards towards the finish area.
The Country Music Marathon finishes at LP Field with a beautiful view of downtown Nashville.
