Death Valley Half Marathon.
The Death Valley Trail Marathon Route
Runners will experience a scenic wilderness trail run on a gravel jeep road from Beatty, Nevada through the picturesque Titus Canyon,
finishing in Death Valley. The whole run takes place in Death Valley National Park.
The course starts on Almaden Blvd. near Park Ave in downtown San Jose. It then makes its way through the centre of
Willow Glen and into the Los Gatos Creek Trail where runners will appreciate the breathtaking scenery on the journey
to the beautiful Vasona Lake Park.
The Death Valley Trail Marathon starts at 3460 feet above sea level. Runners have to climb to 4900 feet over the
first nine miles before descending 500 feet before climbing again to the highest point on the course at 5250 feet above sea level.
The last 14 miles are all downhill, runners descending to 250 feet at the finish line.
