The Great New York State Marathon was previously known as the Empire State Marathon. There are also a Great New York State Half Marathon as well as 10K and 5K race.

Great New York State Marathon Route
The race starts at the Chevy Court of the New York State Fairgrounds. From there, runners follow a flat and fast course, running by many of the fair's attractions, along tree-lined trails in full Fall color and around Onondaga Lake.
