The Eugene Marathon was rated by Runner's World as a "perfect race". It is one of a number of events taking place, including a half marathon and a 5K.

Eugene Marathon Route
The course is mainly flat, with hills at mile 4 and mile 8. Runners start outside Hayward Field. From there they run through south Eugene, around Amazon Park, passing University of Oregon on the way to Knickerbocker footbridge. From there the course follows the Springfield loop, taking participants by Island Park, Springfield High School and the University of Oregon's Autzen Stadium. The last nine mile follows river trails and parks with runners crossing the finish line at the Hayward Field running track.
