The Harrisburg Marathon attracts runners of all ages each year. It receives great reviews and many participants return.

Harrisburg Marathon Route
The course is mainly flat, taking runners along an out-and-back route along the banks of the Susquehanna River.

The race starts on the picturesque City Island, a small island on the river. After crossing to the west bank, runners turn back into the east bank, towards Harrisburg. Runners then head north through the city streets, turning south at mile 18 and finishing on 2nd Street near City Island.
