Number of Places : TBC

The Honolulu Marathon is one of the top ten largest marathons. It takes place annually, on the second Sunday of December, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Honolulu Marathon Route
The race is hilly, but runners will experience an amazing sunrise during the race.

The Honolulu Marathon starts at Ala Moana Beach Park on Ala Moana Boulevard. From there runners head through downtown past Honolulu Harbor and the historic Aloha Tower before turning right into Chinatown and proceeding back through the centre of town.

The race continues on to Waikiki. Runners pass the Sheraton Moana Surfrider, Waikiki's oldest hotel, the world-famous Waikiki Beach, around Honolulu Zoo and Kapiolani Park. Then, at the volcanic Diamond Head the race directs everyone uphill to amazing views of Oahu's east coastline before descending to the residential and commercial areas of Kahala.

The route continues along the coast for four miles through the bedroom communities of Waialae Iki, Aina Haina, and Niu Valley. Runners then pass via residential Hawaii Kai, Maunalua Bay Beach Park and alongside the Waialae Country Club before circling back around Diamond Head crater and, finally, past Sans Souci Beach and the Waikiki Aquarium onto the Finish Line close to the Kapiolani Park Bandstand.
