The Marathon to Marathon was the brainchild of Lois and LeRoy Lind. Unfortunately Leroy passed away before the first race in 1996. It is now a popular annual event in Iowa.

Marathon to Marathon Route
Runners set off from Storm Lake High School in Storm Lake, IA, heading towards the finish line at Marathon Community Center in Marathon, IA.

The course is very flat, making it potentially a fast race. PB chances are also helped by there being few participants. Typically there are less than 200 runners, so there is little chance of anyone getting in your way and slowing you down.

* Entry Fee : $50 (until May 30), $60 (until June 3)
* Registration Deadline : June 3

Further Information
* Cut off point : Runners are expected to finish with 7 hours, after which official times will be discontinued
* Race transport : After the race a bus service will take runners back to the starting line.
