The New River Marathon is a popular and scenic race. There is also a New River Half Marathon race as well as a 5K.

New River Marathon Route
Starting and finishing at the Riverside Restaurant in Fleetwood, NC, runners follow a multi-terrain course through some stunningly scenic countryside. As well as traversing part of the New River Valley they will experience amazing views of horse farms, Christmas tree farms and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
