The Newport Marathon is a race that justifiably boasts some amazing scenery. It is lots of fun, and raises thousands of dollars for local charities every year. There is also a Newport Half Marathon.

Newport Marathon Route
Organisers describe the race as a "26.2 mile running tour of Aquidneck Island". The route shows off many interesting sites in Newport and neighboring Middletown.

The course is predominantly flat. There are some hills, mainly in the second half of the race.
