The Niagara Falls Marathon was first run in 1974. Starting in the USA and finishing in Canada, it is the only marathon to start in one country and finish in another. The marathon is accompanied by the Niagara Falls Half Marathon race, and 10K, 5K and 2K races.

Niagara Falls Marathon Route
The Niagara Falls International Marathon course is a point-to-point race starting at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo N.Y. USA and finishing at Niagara Falls in Canada. The first 4 miles goes along the amazingly scenic parkways of Buffalo. Runners then cross the Peace Bridge, from USA into Canada, through the historic old town of Fort Erie and along the stunning Niagara River Parkway, finishing at the outstanding Niagara Falls.

The route is mainly flat, being overall downhill with a 2 mile downhill section at the end of the race. For this reason ot is a good race for PBs.
