The Outer Banks Marathon is part of the weekend of running that also boasts the Southern Fried Half Marathon as well as 8K and 5K races. Unfortunately, the full marathon was canceled for 2024. We hope it will return in 2025.

Outer Banks Half Marathon Route
The course is point to point and mainly flat.

The race starts at the Nags Head Outlets. From there, runners head out towards the beautiful village of Nags Head and the Village Links. The course continues, passing the sound in Nags Head, Jockey's Ridge and then into the scenic Nature Conservancy. From the Nature Conservancy the course moves into Kill Devil Hills by the Wright Brothers Memorial, and on towards Kitty Hawk. The course then makes a final turn, guiding everyone back to the Wright Brothers Memorial and to the finish line.
