The Paavo Nurmi Marathon is the longest running marathon in Wisconsin. It always takes place on the 2nd Saturday in August.

Paavo Nurmi Marathon Route
Runners follow a point-to-point course. They will be bussed out to the start line on State Highway 77, that cuts through Iron County Forest. Form there, they will enjoy a scenic tarmac course, with some challenging hills on the way to finishing in beautiful downtown Hurley, Wisconsin.
