The Savannah River Marathon is hosted by the Augusta Run Club. There is also a Savannah River Half Marathon and a 10K race.

Savannah River Marathon Route
Starting and finishing at the Lake Olmstead entrance to the canal trail, runners follow an out and back course along the side of the River Savannah, along the Levy Trail, the North Augusta Greeneway, and the Canal Trail.
