Surfside Beach Marathon

Start Time : 7:30 a.m. for runners, 5:30 a.m. for walkers
Number of Places : Up to 100 marathon runners are expected.

The Surfside Beach Marathon was first run in 2005. It is the only US marathon run on the sand of the beach. There is also a Surfside Beach Half Marathon and a 5K.

Surfside Beach Marathon Route
The race is run on the beach. There is lots of room for runners, but the beach will also be open to vehicular traffic.

The starting line is in front of Stahlman Park. It is an out-and-back race, taking runners to San Luis Pass and back to the start. Being on a beach, the running surface is flat, and soft and will vary depending on tide and weather conditions.

* Entry Fee : $50 (first 50 entries), $75 (until Jul 7), $85 (until Oct 6), $95 (until Jan 30), $105 (until Feb 21)
* Registration Deadline : February 21
