The Tacoma City Marathon is a popular race with lots of amazing scenery.

Tacoma City Marathon Route
Starting and finishing at picturesque waterfront Point Ruston, runners follow a scenic, one lap course that passes through Point Defiance Park. After the park, runners make a gradual climb through the historic North End neighborhood of Tacoma before joining a flat section of the Scott Pierson Trail. The route then descends into downtown and loops back along Ruston Way, from where runners will be able to enoy a fast finish with views of the sound, the majestic Mount Rainier, Cascades and Olympic mountains.
