The Utah Valley Marathon was started by Hyrum Oaks and Jeremiah West. It was first run in 2008 and has grown in popularity ever since.

Utah Valley Marathon Route
Runners enjoy is a picturesque route starting in Wallsburg. The course leads into Provo Canyon which is full of some of the most diverse scenery in Utah. The route then runs along canyon roads, following the Provo River, with spectacular views of Bridal Veil Falls, the mountains and the city. It finishes in historic downtown Provo in the grounds of the Utah County Courthouse.
