The Vermont City Marathon was first run in 1989. It is now an annual event, run alongside a marathon relay.

Vermont City Marathon Route
Runners follow a two-lap course through the streets of Burlington, Vermont. The route heads along the Church Street Marketplace and the scenic Burlington Bike Path with fantastic views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains.
