The 1/2 Sauer 1/2 Kraut Marathon is a German-themed marathon that prides itself on being modestly priced and providing friendly and thorough support to runners.

1/2 Sauer 1/2 Kraut Marathon Route
Starting and finishing at Ed Kelly Amphitheater at Pennypack Park, Corner of Welsh Road and Cresco Ave, runners follow tracks on a challenging course alongside Pennypack Creek within the limits of the park. The traffic-free course is sometimes described as a "rollercoaster", the midsection of the course featuring a bunch of short but steep rolling hills along with a trail section.
