The Illinois Marathon is a race that receives much praise. There is also the option to run a half marathon relay, 10K or 5K.

Illinois Marathon Route
The route is flat and fast following downtown streets and paved park trails.

The race starts near the State Farm Center on First Street. From there runners are directed through the University of Illinois campus, into east Urbana, and on to Champaign, finishing on the 50-yard line of Memorial Stadium. Along the way they will pass through the pleasant local scenery including beautiful tree-lined residential neighborhoods.
