Miracle Match Half Marathon

January 30, 2022

Start Time : 7:30 a.m.
Number of Places : Over 200 runners are expected.

The Miracle Match Marathon was founded by Waco Firefighter C.W. Whorton. With the help of fellow firefighters Wade Durbin and Joe Singer organized the inaugural race in 2004. Each year it promotes and raises money to help match bone marrow donors with recipients.

There is no full marathon planned for 2022, but the Miracle Match Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and 1 mile fun run have all returned.

Miracle Match Marathon Route
The course is hilly. Every year people comment on the hills, so be warned.

The race is point-to-point looping round part of Waco. It starts at Indian Springs Park on University Parks Blvd in front of suspension bridge. The route follows a clockwise loop, heading towards Lake Waco and then back round to Brazos River before the final leg to the finish line. When runners see the the suspension bridge again the finish line will be waiting for them on the other side.
