The Mississippi Blues Marathon celebrate blues music with various artists providing music en-route. There is also a Mississippi Blues Half Marathon option.

Mississippi Blues Marathon Route
The course includes hilly areas and straight flat sections, making it quite a challenging race.

The race starts and finishes in front of the impressive Old State Capitol, on the corner of Capitol Street and State Street.

The Mississippi Blues Marathon course runs west on Capitol Street. From there it takes runners along the Metro Parkway out towards Jackson State University, heading through downtown on Pascagoula Street before making its way through Belhaven. This is followed by a short run along Lakeland Drive and through the Eastover area. The last few miles will pass southwards along Old Canton Road from Briarwood Drive, crossing over I55 and carrying on south to State Street before reaching the finish line downtown.
