The Philadelphia Marathon has been described as beautiful and engaging. It has been described by many publications as one of the top ten US marathons. There are also half marathon and 8K races as well as a kid's fun run.

Philadelphia Marathon Route
Because of the flat terrain in Philadelphia the race is fast, allowing runners the opportunity of a PR.

The race starts and finishes on Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Heading out, runners pass through the city, passing by famous historical sites such as Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. They then progress towards the Schuylkill River running along and back for the remainder of the race before finishing near to the Art Museum.
