The Run the River Marathon is so-called because it follows a route alongside the Columbia River. As well as a marathon, there is also the option of a marathon relay.

Run the River Marathon Route
Starting and finishing at Columbia Park in Kennewick, runners follow a scenic, one lap, flat and fast course through the towns of Kennewick, Richland, and Pasco, all alongside the mighty Columbia River. Run entirely on paved paths and roadways, runners follow a scenic course, incorpoating several local trails, including Columbia Park Trail, Sacajawea Heritage Trail and Riverfront Trail.
