The Texas Marathon was started by Rick Worley in the year 2000 when he was working on setting a Guinness World Record. It is now an annual race in Kingwood, Texas.

Texas Marathon Route
The race follows a loop course around the greenbelts in Kingwood, starting and finishing at the Greentree Pool, passing Lake Houston along the way. The entire course is run on concrete greenbelt trails that are open to the public.
